The Artability – Arts for All outreach program started in 2009, with about 30 students per month; it now serves more than 200 students per month and continues to grow.
The program serves community members from Strive, SLS (Supported Living Services, Residential, Day Programming and Vocational Programming), Ariel, Audessey, Mosaic, Just For The Fun Of It, Able, and the Riverside Community Center. The Artability program also provides arts education opportunities for under-served students from local and regional schools and groups with a curriculum that addresses the Colorado model content standards for visual arts education.
The concept of “Art for All” is implemented in the Artability Program through art classes designed for individuals with mental, social and physical challenges. Artability encourages our appreciation for our own unique talents, abilities and modes of self-expression.
