High on the Uncompahgre Plateau is the abandoned mining community of Calamity Camp. First settled in the 1910s to mine radium, the camp saw three booms and busts. Today the camp acts as a time capsule with stone cabins, evidence of mining, and the scattered remains of those that called the camp home for half a century.
Cancellation policy: no refunds after seven days prior to the departure date
$95 per person. Includes transportation, sack lunch, and permits.
