The Brush & Palette (B&P) Club will feature its 52 talented artists in their 77th Annual Fine Art Show. The general public is also invited to enter their artwork in this show.
Artists may submit their artwork in one of four categories: Advanced, Intermediate, Beginner, and Non-judged. Monetary prizes from sponsors are awarded for Best in Show; First, Second, Third, and Honorable Mentions in each category. Additionally, individual patrons may purchase Honor Ribbons for artists’ paintings. Honor Ribbons are tokens of remembrance for special people, pets, or events in patrons’ lives.

All two-dimensional works are welcome. Accepted mediums include oil, watercolor, pastel, ink dyes, Asian ink on Japanese/Chinese paper, colored pencils, pencil, and charcoal.

B&P is the oldest art club in Grand Junction and has been offering art education, display opportunities, and art shows for almost 77 years. The club’s beginnings date back to a few years after WWII when a group of artists established the Brush & Palette Club. While working in a house behind the current Art Center location, the members organized meetings and art shows.

The Brush & Palette Club’s mission is to encourage an appreciation of the fine arts within Grand Junction, Colorado, and surrounding communities. It provides its members with opportunities to learn from other members, as well as from leading professionals within the field. Members benefit from interaction and friendship with other artists in the community. B&P provides members with timely information about fine art activities and events within the community, mounts exhibitions of members’ two-dimensional work, and supports The Art Center.

B&P offers monthly demonstration programs presented by guest artists that are designed to be interesting and educational while exploring a wide variety of mediums and techniques. Please attend our monthly art demonstrations/meetings, held on the third Thursday of the month (no meetings in the summer months of June, July, and August) at 1:00 pm in Studio Colorado at TAC. All meetings are open to the public and free of charge.
